Cowboys Take Down Longhorns 5-2

The Gaither Cowboys took on the Lennard Longhorns on Thursday night pulling out a 5-2 victory.  The Cowboy pitching staff knew going into the night that the game was going to be put on their backs and they accepted that challenge only allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits.  Jr. RHP Roy Peguero picked up his first win of the season while Jr. LHP Javier Deyan recorded his first save.  The offense stayed hot with Jr. OF Jordan Williams leading off the home half of the 1st inning with a stand up 3B eventually scoring, Sr. OF Brandon Driscoll going 2-2, 2 BB, RBI, 2 SB, and Jr. INF Chase Ali going 1-4 with the go ahead RBI 2B in the 5th inning.  The Cowboys look forward to the annual Saladino Tournament where they will face Alonso, Middleton, and Durant in their pool play.
